The match has ended. The first leg of two-legged semi-final of Champions League which pitted Spain powerhouse against the mighty Londoners. A drab draw, because I expected fireworks and guns all blazing.
To be fair, it was not so drab at all. But I expected goals galore like the 4-3 scoreline when Chelsea defeated Liverpool weeks ago. I expected teams which pay millions of pounds to the likes of Messi, Henry, Drogba, Lampard will produce goals. But then just didn't happen. Bless us the poor souls in Asia who stay wide awake in the early morning not to be treated with goals.
Now the first leg has been played. Next game will be played at Chelsea's home stadium, the Stamford Bridge. There the outcome will decide who will meet Man Utd/Arsenal in Rome come next May. Well, based on records Chelsea has a good reputation at home. It is going to be a mountain for Barcelona to climb next time around. Is it? Or just a mole hill... we will know when we down cups and cups of coffee next week.
Sure bet Chelsea left Nou Camp with their balls intact and yelling "Tara Pa Pa"...
