It is actually a mound of earth built by a lobster-like creature called ‘mang’ in local lingo, as its home.
For reason(s) unknown, mang prefers his home nice and cool right under the stilted houses. So one is bound to see countless mang’s homes in the coastal villages in
Mang is edible and it is reputedly tastes like crab. Pretty much like protein is right under the house.
